It can feel defeating to look across the room at your partner and feel like you have lost them. Maybe it is moments of disconnection or it has been years of disconnection. This workshop is designed to give you the education and tools to start enhancing connection with your partner again.
In this workshop you will:
Explore and express your own personal history when it comes to your first relationships in life
Learn about your attachment style and how that shows up in your partnership
Build awareness around the ways in which you can be more sensitive to your partner and them to you
Understand how you and your partner leave the relationship (intentionally or unintentionally) and how to make your way back to one another.
Learn an appreciation dialogue to enhance your connection together
This workshop will be a mix of exercises to work through together and psychoeducation to help you learn about yourself, your partner and your relationship.
This might be right for you if:
You have been wanting to start couples therapy but are struggling to find the commitment for weekly sessions
You want to jump start the work on your relationship
You and your partner want to learn more about each other
You and your partner want to feel more connected, want to see and hear each other more
You and your partner want to understand your conflict better and how to remain connected in conflict
The group atmosphere will be structured to learn the information and then we will break down into couples to practice the techniques and exercises privately.
Date & Time: Saturday Nov 9th 9:00am CST - 1:00pm CST
We recommend that you plan to be able to go out to lunch together after the workshop to discuss what you have learned and how you want to implement it moving forward
Please complete payment below and you will receive an email within 24 hours with a formal registration form.
Cost: $450/couple
Location: Dr. Robyn Welk-Richards and Associates
890 Elm Grove Rd, Elm Grove, WI 53122 STE 103-B
Max Participants: 15 Couples
What will the participation look like?
All 15 couples will be in a large room setting, with plenty of space to spread out. We will not be processing individual couple’s struggles within the group setting but instead learning together, and applying the information through exercises within the couple. Sirina and Patrice will be available while working through the exercises to support individual couples and we will leave space for participants to connect around what the exercises were like for them (challenges and high points) to offer additional community support.
Healing often happens in community.
Community is a pillar of healing. When we feel seen, understood and no longer alone in our struggles, we gain a new resilience to face the challenges with compassion and strength.
Empowerment Within provides workshops at our location in Waukesha, Wisconsin, and we collaborate with businesses to provide community support. If there is a past workshop you are interested in please reach out – with enough demand we will work to find a time that works best for all interested.
If you are interested in hosting a community workshop please reach out to patricefm@empowermentwithinllc.com.
Past Workshops Include
Stress and Wellness
Stress’s impact on the mind and body. Additionally, ways to find balance in your life to decrease your stress levels and manage stress more effectively.
Mental Health, Trauma, and Adversity
General education on mental health symptoms, trauma, and how adversity impacts the mind and body
Understanding Trauma and Innovative Therapies such as Brainspotting and Mindfulness
This training focuses on understanding how our backgrounds impact us today through brain science. We review Brainspotting and Mindfulness as effective tools to deepen your healing and enliven your life.
Vicarious Trauma
Vicarious trauma impacts more people than we realize, even ourselves. People in helping professions are especially at risk of being vicariously traumatized and need to learn the signs and symptoms to help prevent burnout.
Supporting You
As stated above individualized trainings are available. If your organization has been seeing a pattern in retention problems, compassion fatigue, and an uninviting atmosphere please reach out and see how I can support you.
